The Longines EEF Series is back for the 2023 edition with Peelbergen as a selected venue for one of the seven regional qualifiers.
We are proud to see Peelbergen as the location for the Region West Longines EEF Series Regional Qualifier (RQ). The event was subjected to a change of date and will now take place from the 18th till the 21st of May during the CSIO3* show.
Longines EEF Series calendar
The first appointment on the calendar is set for the 26th of April, with all eyes on Italy, home of the 2022 winning team. After that, it won’t be long before the teams will reach the regional qualifier in Peelbergen, on the 18th of may.
During the same event, Peelbergen will host a CSI1* and CSIYH, announces managing director Ken Ruysen: “Hosting a CSI1* and CSIYH during the same weekend of the CSIO3* is an ideal setting to give CSIO riders the opportunity to develop their younger horses in the CSIYH and CSI1*, as well as giving CSI riders the chance to compete in a CSIO setting with the very best riders in the sport.”
How does it work?
The Longines EEF Series is a Nations Cup Competition held over two identical rounds, table A against the clock where teams of 4 riders compete in both rounds.
The teams progress through the regional qualifiers to the semi-final, with the best 10 teams qualifying for the Warsaw Finals on the 14th-17th of September.
Here, teams will not compete only for the titles of Longines EEF Series Champions, but for a promotional place to the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Division 1.
Longines EEF Series Peelbergen serves as the regional qualifier for Region West, comprising Andorra, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Great Britain, and Monaco. In addition to the West Region teams competing for qualification, the Nations Cup competition at CSIO3* Peelbergen is open to invited teams from around the world.
