KRONENBERG – Ken Ruysen has been appointed as the new director of the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen in The Netherlands, starting October 1st. Ruysen succeeds Frank Laenen, who will resign on November 1st and will take the next step in his career with a new employer.
Growth strategy
The board of the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen was looking for an experienced director from the equestrian industry to further shape the growth strategy. With the appointment of Ruysen, the board intends to further implement this strategy to explore new opportunities for the development of the equestrian show facility.
Experience
Ruysen started his career at Zangersheide and in recent years was responsible for the events at Sentower Park in Opglabbeek. The thirty-year-old Belgian entrepreneur is also active as the sports director of various CSI5*-competitions, such as Knokke Hippique, the Stephex Masters and the Longines Masters in Paris.
Leadership
Since the start of the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen in 2015, the facility has developed into a well-known show and event venue for all equestrian disciplines. Thanks to the leadership of Frank Laenen ‘De Peelbergen’ has become internationally renowned in the equestrian world. The board is grateful to Laenen for his valuable dedication and wishes him every success in realizing his new ambition.
