KRONENEBRG – Regularly there is something new to see at the ECdP / Grandorse, which is also the case at the upcoming CSI from 22 to 25 June. For the first time the new grass arena will be used for several classes and riders will have the option to bring 2 instead of 1 horse for the Youngster Tour. A good addition to the program according to Edith de Reys and Paul Maïs, owners of the Belgian ‘Stoeterij van de Helle’ which are also part of the founder group of Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen.
“Some might wonder why we have joined the founder group, since we’re not Dutch, but we felt an initiative like that should be supported”, explains Edith de Reys about the involvement of Stoeterij van de Helle. “It’s great when parties who are each other’s colleague, but also each other’s competition, want to realize such an equestrian centre. The link to the ECdP was made via Henk van den Broek. We’ve been in business with him for over 30 years. He has got a lot of our horses in training and that way we also benefit from this infrastructure.
In Belgium there are only positive comments about the ECdP. The riders are used to the fact that there is an international competition every weekend. The option to vary between the locations in Belgium and Kronenberg is definitely appreciated, as well as the opportunity to bring 2 young horses and jump them on both sand and grass.”
All the CSI2*, 1* and YH classes are planned to take place both on the grass and the sand arena. The show will host two Ranking classes and has no less than 85.000 euros in total prize money.
