Tonight, 27 horses out of the 2016 collection of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales were presented at the brand new venue of the auction: Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen. In a great ambiance the talented young showjumpers, carefully selected by Paul, Emile, Timothy and Michel Hendrix and Yves Houtackers, showed themselves from their best side. Many spectators were present at the presentation, including some prominent international riders, breeders and owners of top horses.
“We have continued yesterday’s success at the World Championships in Lanaken today at the presentation”, organizer Paul Hendrix refers to the great successes of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales in Lanaken last weekend, including Luc Steeghs and former auction horse Everest (Carambole x Indoctro) winning the bronze medal in the championship for 7-year-olds.
The collection of 4-, 5- and 6-year-olds impressed the audience tonight. They were all presented professionally by the riders Rob van Bussel, Tim van den Oetelaar, Niels Knape, Luc Steeghs and Pieter Keunen. Some of world’s best riders were present at the presentation of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales tonight, including Olympic champion Nick Skelton.
Nick Skelton had some comments on tonight’s presentation. “I think we have seen some very nice young horses tonight again. If they will end up in the right hands, they have a great chance to develop into successful international showjumpers. Stal Hendrix and Yves Houtackers have done a very good selection again. The Dutch Sport Horse Sales has proven to deliver many successful horses over the years.” Skelton has high expectations of tomorrow’s auction as well. “Last year we thought they could not beat the result of the year before, but then they did. I think tomorrow could again be better!”
Tomorrow night at 19:30 o’clock the Dutch Sport Horse Sales will take off. You can watch the videos of this evening’s presentation on ClipMyHorse.TV. If you are interested in any of the auction horses, you can contact Paul, Emile, Timothy or Michel Hendrix or Yves Houtackers.
