Monday evening Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen celebrated its official opening. Three hundred guest raised their glasses to the collaboration between the Province, the community and the equestrian sector of Limburg, enabling the realisation of the centre. With investors from the equestrian and non-equestrian sector a unique concept has been realised, in which the common interest of all involved parties provides a boost to the infrastructure of Limburg.
“Characteristic of this centre is that the realisation has been achieved by multiple involved parties in mutual trust. Companies that in general are each other’s business competitors have worked side by side to ensure this concept is a success. We passionately believe in a collective product”, chairman Mat Vestjens says contently.
Because of the cooperation with the government, it possible to operate on an unprecedented scale. The mayor of Horst, Kees van Rooij, expressed his appreciation for the way the spectacular centre was realized. “This centre is an economic magnet for the Province and will give a boost to the recreation and tourism sector of Limburg”.
Chairman Mat Vestjens continues: “I believe we have created a form of chemistry, which we hope will lead to even greater opportunities for the future. We have plans to expand the outdoor facilities of the center in cooperation with several local societies and we want to make the ECdP the international hotspot of the Benelux. This is only the beginning and we will strive continuously to guarantee that the center is a place that all visitors can enjoy”. The complex, which initially was set up for equestrians, promises something for everyone. An invitation to all is open to come and visit us. An excellent opportunity to see what the center has to offer is the first international competition, which will take place from 18th to 20th March 2016.
