KRONENBERG – With two consecutive weeks of show jumping in the Spring Tour, Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen welcomes a wide variety of riders this Thursday. Among them are British top rider Scott Brash, who will not compete in the World Cup finals in Omaha, but in Kronenberg. Next to the ultra-successful Irish rider Bertram Allen and local favorite Sanne Thijssen. After CSI de Peelbergen the Tour will continue for two more weeks at Sentower Park in Belgium.
Over four week the complete Spring Tour offers 8 Ranking classes and offers an additional bonus of 5.000 euros to be divided over the five best performing riders, on top of the total prize money of 320.000 euros.
This perspective draws a total of 150 riders a total of 445 horses to the ECdP in the first week of the Tour. Including Olympic rider Jerome Guery from Belgium, German National Team rider David Will and several local celebrities. They will compete against participants with 31 different nationalities, including Bermuda, Belarus, Iran, New Zealand and Qatar.
Next to the four sand arenas the CSI2*/1*/ YH competitions will take place in, the new grass arenas are developing and it is expected the first classes will be held on the additional grounds after the Tour. The newly built pavilion, which extends along the length of the outdoor arenas, will already be welcoming its first guests this weekend. Traditionally the Grand Prix is scheduled on Sunday and will start approximately at 15.15 hours.
